Nike Youth Triathlon

The Nike Youth Triathlon will be held entirely on the Nike World Headquarters Campus in Beaverton, Oregon. The event is for kids from 5 to 12 years of age with the objective of encouraging youth participation and achievement while promoting a healthy lifestyle through grassroots expansion in the sport of triathlons. The swim will be in the Lance Armstrong Sports Center pool followed by a paved bike loop on the campus and ending with the run at Ronaldo Field in front of the pool. Age groups are 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Registration is limited to the first 300 entries. Registration opens May 1, 2011.

The race start time is 9:00AM.

Youth 5 to 8 years old
Swim: 50 yards
Bike: 1.6 mile
Run: 0.50 mile

Youth 9 to 12 years old
Swim: 100 yards
Bike: 3.2 miles
Run: 1.0 mile

Podium awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each age group for male and female.

Heat numbers and start times will be assigned and communicated to registered participants closer to race day.

Check in and race day registration is 7:00AM - 8:30AM in the Lance Armstrong Sports Center. Race day registration is dependant on space availability. You must be in Coop (waiting area) by no later than 9:00AM.....earlier if you are in the first heats. This is important for bike safety and keeps the course clear of cars. There will be activities and a special guest to keep kids occupied while they wait for their heat to start.

Packet pick-up and late registration will be in the Lance Armstong Sports Center on Friday, August 12th from 11:30AM - 1:00PM and Saturday, August 13th from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. Participants will pick-up their race goodie bags and have the opportunity to review the race course. Please keep track of the race number and timing chip in the race packet so you don't forget it on race day.

The Nike Youth Triathlon is not open to the general public. You need to be a Nike employee or invited guest of a Nike employee to register a child in this event.
