About this Run |
The Hazelwood PTA Council Scholarship Foundation was formed in 1959 for the purpose of providing scholarships to graduating seniors of the Hazelwood School District.
In 1982, the PTA Council started the Annual PTA Scholarship Run/Walk event. The Run/Walk was developed by two District superintendents, Dr. Huss and Dr. Hedrick. The vesting of the funds, number of scholarships, and distribution are overseen by the PTA Scholarship Foundation.
The goal is to raise $50,000. We take pride advocating for our students while sponsoring events that enable successful scholarship distributions within our District.
The Run/Walk t-shirt designs are created by Hazelwood School District students. Voting on the design occurs during the annual Founders' Day event. The winning student's design and signature is affixed to all advertising for the event.
