General Event Details |
Aris was born April 23rd, 2013 to Jessica Pettis, a first grade teacher at Laketown Elementary in Springfield. He was born with Propionic Acidemia, a rare genetic disease. That means his body does not break down protein and creates gases instead. This disease is life threatening. On April 11th, Aris received a liver transplant at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Let's help this family with their post-transplant expenses and Aris's life-long medication. Please join family and friends for our Prayers for Aris Fun Run at Southwind Park on August 30th. This is not a timed run but a fun day for all!
