Start/finish line is at 909 Locust Street close to intersection of 8th and Locust, downtown Des Moines.

Capital Strider members receive a $5 discount when they pre-register.
No discount available at packet pick-up or on race day.

The 10-Mile course starts in downtown Des Moines and winds through the near northwest neighborhoods.
(10-Mile course will be open 2 hours until 10:00 AM, 12 min. pace)

The 5K course will be run in the downtown area.

Both the 10-Mile and 5K races are the State RRCA Championship Events.

The Pursuit Junior kids' races are free; however, registration is required.

Participants can register at the Pursuit Jr. Table near the finish line on race day.
Participants will receive a t-shirt and a participation ribbon.
Parents/Guardians will need to sign a waiver.
The announcer will ask the various age divisions to report to the Pursuit Jr. Table at approx. 9:30, 9:40 & 9:50.
The Pursuit Junior Coordinator will take the individual groups to the various start lines.
Each Group will start and finish before the next group is called to report.
Kids will run down the same course as adults. They will run East on Locust so they can enjoy the thrill of crossing the finish line where they will receive their ribbons.
Kids will be broken into the following 3 age groups.

Ages 4 & under - 9:30 am - run approx. 100 meters
Ages 5-8 - 9:40 am - run approx. 250 meters
Ages 9-12 - 9:50 am - run approx. 400 meters

8:00 AM: 10-Mile Run and 5K Run/Walk
9:30 AM: Pursuit Junior races

One award per winner.

Pursuit Junior Participants will receive participation ribbons.

Beautiful long sleeved technical shirts to the first 535 pre-registered participants. Medals presented on race day to the top 25 Male & Female finishers in each race.

A portion of the race proceeds will go to assist Iowa Kidstrong, Inc. Their mission is to promote healthy, active lifestyles among children.
Approximately 40 See-Us Run Des Moines students and their running mentors will be racing the 10 Miler too.
