Team Tabitha 5K and Fun Run

Early registration is $20 through April 1, $25 after April 1 and on race day. All Fun Run entries are $15. All registration fees will be evenly split between the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation and Tabitha's family. No refunds will be given if the race is cancelled due to weather. On-line registration will remain open until 8 PM Friday, April 12, 2013.

Race Day Entries are 25$ for the 5K, 20$ for the fun run.

The Fun Run is 1/4 of a mile and designed for children and those racers/walker with disabilities. The Fun Run course is completely enclosed for the safety of our runners/walkers/wheelers.

Overall top 5 winners (5 male, 5 female) will receive prizes. All participants in Fun Run will receive a ribbon.

All pre-registered participants will receive a "Team Tabitha 5k" t-shirt and other awareness goodies. Please register early as T-shirts are only guaranteed to early registrants.

Team Tabitha 5k and Fun Run, with the help of Red River Road Runners, is in its second year with the proceeds again going to the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation and Tabitha's family. Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, or 22q13 Deletion Syndrome, is the rare genetic disorder that Tabitha was diagnosed with in August of 2010. It affects muscle tone, cognitive ability and causes the absence of speech. Only 700 cases are known worldwide. The 5k will run through scenic and hilly South Highlands, starting and finishing in the Sears parking lot, Mall St Vincent, Shreveport, LA. The Fun Run will be handicap-accessible to accommodate children with walkers, gait trainers and those who utilize a wheelchair for mobility.

$1500 minimum contribution
