SGBC Mission Challenge 5K Run/Walk

This race incorporates a traditional 5K run/walk with a challenge element that pits like groups against each other for the bragging rights as the fastest in the Shreveport / Bossier area. The four best individual times for the challenge group (unlimited in number) are averaged and the low time wins the team travelling trophy.

• Challenge Group 1-Public Safety (Police, Fireman, Highway Patrol, EMS, Sheriff Dept.)
  
• Challenge Group 2-Military (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines)
  
• Challenge Group 3-Schools (Staff, teachers, students from any one school)
  
• Challenge Group 4-Churches (Members of any one church)
  
• Challenge Group 5-Professional/Open (Members of any one profession, i.e. lawyers, doctors, accountants, etc.
  
or any organized group)

Packet pick-up will be at Sportspectrum on Thursday, April 18 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Packets may also be picked up at Summer Grove Baptist Church Entrance 2 (south side) on Friday, April 19 from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM or on race day.

Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male/Female in each age category, including children's categories. Gift certificates awarded for the overall Male/Female winners.

A jambalaya brunch will be served to all participants beginning at 9:15 AM or join our church family for PICNIC-ON-THE-GREEN activities beginning at 11:00 AM.
