The annual Whitefish Legacy Run is planned for Sunday, October 13th, 2013. This family friendly run offers something for everyone…long distances and single track trails combined with dirt roads, and shorter options for families. The run takes place on the Whitefish Trail and dirt roads in the Beaver Lakes area and includes a 20K, 11K, 4.5-mile and 1.5 mile family fun run options.

Family and friends can gather at the beautiful Stillwater Mountain Lodge to celebrate with run participants. Participants will receive a Whitefish Legacy Run shirt and will enjoy lunch, snacks and beverages at Stillwater Mountain Lodge during the finish celebration.

Portable restrooms will be available at Stillwater Mountain Lodge. Aid Stations will be supplied with water from Petty Johns Water Supply along the course. The course will be marked with color coded signs and volunteers will be at all trail intersections to cheer you on and make sure you stay on course. If you stop before finishing the race, you need to check in with a volunteer or Legacy Race official before leaving the course. Otherwise, our volunteers will waste unnecessary time looking for you!

20k: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

11k: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

4.5mile: 0-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

1.5mile: 0-6, 7-9, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Awards will be given for each division, men and women, and overall 1st through 3rd. Age groups will be awarded 1st place only for 20k, 11k and 4.5mile. 1.5 mile will be awarded 1st through 3rd through the 14-19 age group then 1st place only for each age group after that. Overall Winner will also win in their age group.

Volunteers are critical to holding an efficient, safe event and volunteers have fun! We need 30+ people to layout the courses, register participants on Sunday morning, provide on-course runner directions, offer aid station support, be a course sweeper, and serve food and drinks at the Celebration. All volunteers need to sign up ahead of time and we need volunteers both Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday.
