Participants must be enrolled as a freshmen in high school or beyond by the 2012-2013 school year.

The Butler County Health Care Center Boxer Relay Run is a 30-Mile relay run in David City, NE. Teams of 4 to 6 runners are encouraged to promote colorectal cancer awareness by sporting boxer shorts over their running gear.

The Boxer Relay will consist of three 3-mile legs and three 7-mile legs. The first leg for each team will be a 7-mile leg. The remaining legs can be run in any order.

All 3 & 7 mile legs of the relay start at the David City Municipal Track. From the start line, the runners will leave the stadium parking lot and turn south to start their scenic route around the park lake. Runners will catch the cinder walking trail on the east end of the lake and take a small uphill trek on the trail to meet up with the road to take them east to the edge of town~11th street.

7 mile runners will travel South for a second uphill climb to kick off their 5 miles gravel county road-trip. They will loop back into city limits and travel thru residential areas and once again catch the cinder trail on the north end of the city park and continue on the trail thru the park to the stadium, and finally complete the last ¼ mile around the city crumb rubber track. Each hand off will occur in front of the grandstand area of the track.

3 mile runners will turn North for their second small uphill climb. Runners will continue their asphalt trek thru the residential areas and once again catch the cinder trail on the north end of the city park and continue on the trail to Kansas Street. They will loop across the top side of the stadium, run down the west side of Memorial Stadium and catch the trail traveling east at the fishing pier. Runners wrap up their route by completing their last ¼ mile around the city crumb rubber track. Each hand-off will occur in front of the grandstand area of the track.

Waiver
Waiver, Release & Indemnification: I hereby for myself, my heirs and executors, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages against Butler County Health Care Center, the City of David City and the road race officials and volunteers for any injuries suffered by me in connection with this event. I acknowledge that I am a voluntary participant in this Event and in good physical condition.
