Run in the Dark

Community Storehouse relies on funding support from individual donors, businesses, churches, and the Run in the Dark event. To fulfill our mission, we depend on people who want to make a difference in the lives of others by donating resources to help a neighbor in crisis. With your help, we rebuild lives and bring a sense of community and caring to those with whom we interact. Join us by registering for the 9th Annual Run in the Dark on September 20, 2008 at Keller Town Hall. This is an event for the entire family.

5:00 - 6:30 pm: Race day registration ($20-individual/$15-18 and under) and packet pickup
5:00-9:00 pm: Live entertainment
7:00 pm: 1-mile fun run
7:30 pm: 5K run/walk
9:15 pm: Awards ceremony

Not a runner or walker? Come out and listen to our great live entertainment. Enjoy family friendly music from the CityView Church Band and Milestone Church Band.

Our official food sponsor for the 2008 Run in the Dark is Chick-fil-a of Watauga. Chick-fil-a sandwiches can be purchased for $2.50 each. Water and soft drinks will also be available.

The Run in the Dark course is a certified 5K Course: TX06035ETM. The run begins on Bear Creek Parkway in front of Keller Town Hall (1100 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller TX 76248) and goes East to the turn at Promontory Drive /Bear Creek Parkway then returns to Keller Town Hall.

The race will use Champion Chip timing. Chips may be picked up on race day near registration with your race number. You must wear a chip to be timed and eligible for awards. Chips must be surrendered before leaving the finish area. Strollers and wagons are welcome.

This will be our first year to award the "Storehouse Cup" to the school that has the largest school team participation. A school team consists of any child or adult that registers under that school name. The school with the most registrations for their team will be awarded the "Storehouse Cup" on stage and will hold the cup for the year at their school. 5k: The 1st overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups win awards: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Everyone 15 and under that finishes the 1-Mile Fun Run will receive a ribbon.
