Awards |
Asics Trail Shoes (one pair per person) to 1st place male and female. SmartWool socks to 2nd and 3rd place finishers of each race. Note: only one pair of shoes to a participant during the series.
Cumulative
The Dirtiest Dozen (top twelve male and female) series winners (based on cumulative finish position of your best three races - East Fork has to be one of the three) receive a Technical Shirt.
New for 2008: Finishers from 3, not 4, races keeps you in the running for the Dirtiest Dozen. At the East Fork Backpack Trail Run we shall once again have handicap starts. Your actual finish position determines your placement for the Backpack Trail Run scoring. However, unlike 2007, we will use your actual running time, not your handicapped finish place, to determine your place among the Dirtiest Dozen. Everyone who registers in advance for all four events will receive a pair of SmartWool socks and a Dirt Days Technical shirt.
Random Door Prize
After each race there will be a $50 Gift Card drawn. Winner needs to be present to collect.

Mt. Airy Forest |
Mt. Airy Forest is, in fact, the largest park located within a city's limits in the country. Even Central Park can only boast 843 acres, while Mt. Airy holds a massive 1469.9 acres. The Mt. Airy Forest Ridge Run is aptly named, as the runners will get a wilderness experience that mirrors the Sierras at times. The course winds through all of the features Mt. Airy has to offer, such as its lush evergreens, dense hardwoods, open meadows, flowing rivers, and of course, hill climbs and ridge traverses.
