About The Event |
Indiana State Police Lt. Gary Dudley, an avid bike rider, died on August 22, 2006. He was killed while participating in a charity bicycle ride to raise funds and awareness for the Indiana Chapter of Concerns for Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
The Gary Dudley Memorial Foundation was established to award college scholarships to children of police officers killed in the line of duty in Indiana. Through the foundation, his mission of assisting families of fallen officers will continue.

Gary's Ride is a recreational bicycle ride for cyclists of all ages and levels of cycling experience. Several distances are available to choose from so you can select the distance most comfortable for you.

There will also be many activities for children of all ages to enjoy at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, including Police, Fire, EMS and Department of Natural Resources equipment and displays.

Saturday, August 13, 2016. All Riders must check-in at registration.
All Century & 75 mi. course riders must depart by 8:30 am.
Gary's Ride will end at 5PM EDT.
Location and Directions |
From 465 West Side, Exit onto I-70 WEST to Plainfield.
Continue on I-70 to the 267 North Exit.
Take 267 North to 1st Stop Light (Hadley).
Turn Left on Hadley , Continue on Hadley through round-about to Stop Sign (700 E).
Turn Right on 700 E., and continue just over 1/2 mile to ILEA Training Academy.
