About This Event |
The Bop to the Top is a 36 Floor Stairclimb up the OneAmerica Tower. 780 Step, 500 Feet Straight UP! Open to all ages and abilities. The event is a benefit for Riley Hospital for Children. Start times will be posted to the Event Info page by 11:00AM on Friday, January 15.
Location/Parking |
FREE parking is available in the parking lots directly north of the OneAmerica Tower. You can park in the parking garage off of Illinois or the surface lot off of Capitol.
Individual and Corporate Fundraising for Team Riley |
This event benefits Riley Hospital for Children. Collect donations from your friends, family or co-workers by creating an online giving page HERE. Or, bring your donations to the event site on Jan. 16th. There will be incentive prizes for collecting donations. If you bring cash or checks, please fill out and bring the pledge form with you on January 16. For a pledge form, click HERE.
Triple Step Division |
Climb the tower 3 times! We will add all 3 of your times together for a 'total time'. You'll you have a 3 hour window to bop up the stairs 3 different times. Award categories will be based on how many entries are received (a minimum of Open, Masters and Grand Masters division). You will only be eligible for this category and will not be eligible for individual awards. You are also not eligible to be on a team category.
TEAM Competition |
Get a TEAM together and do the Bop! All teams consist of 4 members with the following categories:
OPEN - consists of 4 members any combination of males/females.
CO-ED - 2 males and 2 females or 1 male and 3 females
ALL FEMALE - All females.
FIRE FIGHTERS - members of a fire department (male or female). FAMILY - consists of immediate family members (children, parents, grandparents).
COLLEGIATE - must consist of a college university and have at least one female.
MASTERS - must consist of at least one female - all members must be at least 40 years of age or greater.
Seeding |
If you wish to be seeded - you must indicate a 'seed time' on your entry. Either put in a previous stairclimb time or a recent 5K time that you have run.
Awards for Age Group, Big Guy, Big Big Guy, Big Big Big Guy, and Athena |
Age groups consist of ages 8 under, 9-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29....85+
ALSO there is a Big Guy (200 lbs) Big Big Guy (225 lbs) Big Big Big Guy (250 lbs) and Athena (165 lbs) Division. Awards will be presented in each category at the awards program at 1:30pm in the OneAmerica auditorium.
