Event Details

Marathon
(Race starts at 8:00 a.m.; Cost: $50 through March 8th or $60 on March 9th through March 25th)

The Marathon course covers approximately four miles of city streets and sidewalks, 15 miles of improved trails (including the Glacial Drumlin Trail), and 7 miles of the Ice Age Trail. Miles 11 through 15 are extremely rugged. Except for the Ice Age Trail, the trail is subject to only gentle grades. Marathon turn-around is the top of the 40' Lapham Peak tower, the highest point in Waukesha county, with spectacular views of the surrounding lake country. The Marathon has a 6 hour cut-off. Net climb on the way out is 438 feet; the net drop on the way back is 438 feet. Aid stations will be located at miles 3, 5, 7, 11 and 13 with a bag drop at the fourth aid station (behind Saxe's Restaurant). An annual or daily Wisconsin State Park sticker is needed to park at the Lapham Peak Tower.

Half Marathon
(Race starts at 9:30 a.m.; Cost: $40 through March 8th or $50 on March 9th through March 25)

The Half Marathon course follows the initial leg of the Marathon course but has an earlier turn around at mile 7 (aid station 3). It does not include the Ice Age Trail or the Lapham Peak tower.

5K Run / Walk
(Race starts at 10:00 a.m.; Cost: $30 through March 8th or $40 on March 9th through March 25)

Participants may choose between running or walking through Frame Park along the banks of the Fox River. The course consists of 2 laps of the Frame Park trail system between Moreland Blvd and Baxter Street along the Fox River.
