The Denton County Dash is a free community event to bring awareness to the impact of cardiovascular disease in Denton County. This event provides an opportunity to get out and move!

Did you know cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of Denton County residents and many of the risk factors are preventable? In Denton County, approximately 27.2% of residents are obese. About a third of adults have high cholesterol and nearly 19% have high blood pressure. These conditions can be prevented or controlled with regular physical activity and balanced eating. It's time for Denton County to Stop Being Passive and Get Active!

The Denton County Dash 5K Walk/Run is Saturday, April 11, 2015 at The Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park in Lewisville, Texas. Awards presented to the top male and female finisher in each age group. Packet pickup is at RunOn in Flower Mound Friday, February 27, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. Whether you have been running for years or are just getting started with a walking program, dash the past to make your health last.
