Brief Description of the race: |
Register for this year's Dr. Robert J Dennington Memorial Run "Rock the Doc 5k"! The event will be held on September 20th, 2014 at Little Elm Park. This family-fun event will have a 1-mile kid's run at 5:30 pm, and a 5k walk/run beginning at 6 pm. In addition to changing the time of the race, we have changed things up a bit with a theme of "Run like a Rock Star!" Runners can come to run dressed as their favorite rock star, with prizes given to the top 3 costumes. Or, you can register your entire "band" of 4 or more for a discount, and a prize will be given to the top "best-dressed" band.
Stay for the Food - A free meal will be available after the race for all runners pre-registered for the 5k
Stay for the Music - Live music will be performed along the race route and at the Amphitheater
Stay for the Fun - The event coincides with the Little Elm Autumn Fest and Carnival
Go for the Shirt - The first 500 pre-registered runners will get a free t-shirt (sponsors name on back)

About Little Elm Food Bank:
- Has provided emergency food assistance to local families since 1984
- Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers
- Relies entirely on donations, can food drives and fundraisers
- Averages over 200 individuals serviced per month
- Demand continues to increase with Little Elm's growth
- Helps finance Kids Eat Free Summer Program providing over 11,000 lunches during the summer

Awards |
Top 3 Male and Females will receive a trophy. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place male and female in the following age groups: 10-under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, qnd 70+
Prizes will be given to the top 3 best dressed Rock Star costume and a Prize to the Best dressed Band (Group of 4 or more)
