This run/walk event is a fundraiser for Providence Seaside Hospital Foundation. Funds raised from this event will help local residents who have diabetes get the medicine, education, and medical care they need. Some scholarships will also be available for uninsured residents to see a Providence-certified diabetes educator here on the north coast.

Both the 5K and 10K start in Quatat Park and runs through downtown to the Turnaround at the historic Seaside Promenade (known as the Prom) where you'll enjoy gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Course maps will be available at packet pickup. Strollers are welcome but no pets are allowed.

5K & 10K - $30 through August 26 and $35 from August 27 until race day. Fee includes T-shirt, race entry, bib number, light snack at the end of the race, and diabetes education packet. T-shirts guaranteed if registered by August 26.

7:00 to 8:30 a.m. at Quatat Park

Friday, September 12 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Providence Seaside Hospital lobby or on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Awards will be presented in both the 5K and 10K events to the top overall male and female finisher and the top three in each age group. All participants will be eligible for random prize drawings.
