About Pike Township Educational Foundation |
Pike Township Educational Foundation, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, was organized in 1993 to enhance the education of Pike students through scholarships and grants for teacher-driven projects.
Since 1993, the Foundation has awarded more than $170,000 to graduating Pike seniors, over $150,000 for teacher recognition, and nearly $360,000 in grants. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation is a separate entity from Pike Township Schools and its Board of Education. Although the Foundation is separate from the school district, there is a strong partnership with the school administration and local schools since the Foundation's sole purpose is to augment public education in Pike Township.
It is self-supporting through founding members, fundraisers, corporate sponsorships and private donations. The Board of Directors is made up of Pike parents, retired Pike educators, and Pike business owners.
