What:
The expedition style, unsupported race will involve paddling, trail running/trekking, mountain biking, orienteering, coasteering, caving, rappelling and ascending,
On an all new course for 2014, A Solo racer, or Teams of 2 or 3, will travel over 50 miles in the 12 hour race and 100 miles in the 24 hour race through state parks, historic sites, private lands, wildlife preserves and recreation areas in Northwestern Illinois.
Valuable prizes will be presented to the winners in the following divisions: 12 and 24 hour, 2 and 3 person coed, and 2 and 3 person same gender. Certificates will be presented to the second and third place teams in each of these divisions also.
The race start times are 12:00 a.m. for the 24 hour race and 06:00 a.m. for the 12 hour race.
Registration costs are: $195/person for the 12 hour race and $240/person for the 24 hour race. Registration includes: new on-site cabin accommodations or on-site camping (your choice), pre-race meal, canoe rental, the famous and sought after North Face Fleece logo shirt, land use fees, custom LIDAR maps, valuable schwag, ropes and rigging (most extensive ropes section in the country), prizes to the winners in each division, and homemade after race pizzas and drinks.
