As with the rest of the world, Stack Sports and GetMeRegistered.com (GMR) is closely monitoring the on-going developments related to Coronavirus. First and foremost, our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our people, partners, families, and the communities in which we live and work. We are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and encourage you to continue to follow CDC updates as they become available here.

One immediate thought for Event Organizers from the GMR Team is to consider allowing registrants to convert to VIRTUAL RUNS rather than the on-site race itself. This will minimize chargebacks.

Chargebacks are costly. A chargeback occurs when a cardholder disputes a charge on their credit card and the bank that issued the card - not GMR - reverses the transaction. This may occur because the cardholder doesn't recognize the transaction, didn't receive the merchandise or service, didn't authorize the use of the card, or a number of other reasons. The end result is that the event's payment account will be reduced by that purchase amount.

If a chargeback occurs on your event, you and the registrant will be notified that GMR staff has furnished evidence that supports the online registration transaction.

We expect more chargebacks in the wake of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Because of this GetMeRegistered.com is revising Payment terms which are effectively delayed by one additional week.

Our current Policy around refunds is to defer to the event organizer's discretion. If the event approves a refund, it will be processed less online processing, and less a $1.50 refund charge. Refunds will only be processed if the event has enough unsent funds (in their account) to cover the refund.

You may consider changing your event's waiver language. One of our GetMeRegistered.com Event Organizers has shared an addition they recently made to their event waiver. It follows:

I understand that this event may be cancelled by conditions outside of the control of event organizers for the safety and well-being of event staff, participants and the community; such as severe weather, civil unrest, pandemics, bans on public gatherings, threat of terrorism, or other unforeseen circumstances that would make the event non-viable, and if so, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund or deferral once my race registration is complete.

If you would like to edit your event waiver, sign into the GMR administrative portal and view your event. From there, click the "Edit/Update" link, and click on the “waiver” tab. Be sure to save changes.

Parking for run/walk will be spread out on west side of Monon Trail in business parking lots. DO NOT PARK ALONG CITY STREETS.
