Skip the race and enjoy the fun! These participants are eligible for all prize drawings, food, drinks and festivities.

All participants can pick up packets at Tri-State Running, 148 Barnwood Dr., Edgewood, KY from 12-8 PM on Thursday, May 22 and again from 10-2 PM on Friday, May 23.

Participants may also pick up packets at Arnie's on the Levee, 120 E. 3rd Street, Newport, from 3-7 PM on Friday, May 23. Race day pick-up will be near the Purple People Bridge in Newport.

5K Run/Walk: For those runners and fitness walkers 15 years old and above:

• 1st Male & Female - Each receives a $100 gift card to Outback Steakhouse (donated by Outback)
  
• 2nd Male & Female - Each receives a $75 Gift Card to Outback Steakhouse (donated by Outback)
  
• 3rd Male & Female - Each receives a $50 Gift Card to Outback Steakhouse (donated by Outback)
  

Also, the first 40 male and female runners and the top 10 male and female fitness walkers receive a large football tumbler glass featuring the RGI River Run logo (sponsored by Payroll Partners). Except for the awards given to the top 3 male and female runners, all of these will be given out at the finish line.

Children: Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female runners in three divisions (8 & Under, 9-11, 12-14), as well as to the 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in each of those divisions. All youth participants will receive a commemorative award upon completion of the 5K.

Children's Fun Run and Special K: All children who participate in either of these events will receive a commemorative award.

All participants, their families and friends, and the event's volunteers are invited to Arnie's on the Levee for the post-event party. The celebration begins at 11:00 AM. At the party, each paid entrant, Special K athlete and volunteer can use the one (1) ticket they receive at registration for their choice of the following:

• If under 21, a hot dog or soft pretzels AND a soft drink or bottled water
  
• If 21 or over, a hot dog or soft pretzels AND a domestic bottled beer, soft drink, or a bottled water
  

Please note that these tickets can only be redeemed from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on May 24, 2014.

Fundraising:
A trophy will be awarded on 5/24/14 to the company/group that raises the greatest amount of money. To qualify for this team award, EACH entrant MUST list the company/group name on his/her registration form. ALL of the participants should mail their entry forms together.

School Team Challenge:
Any school with the highest number of pre-registered participants wins a $500 check made out to their school or athletic association. To qualify for this team award, each entrant MUST list the SCHOOL on his/her registration form or indicate accordingly if registering online. ALL entrants should mail their entry forms together in the same envelope. This incentive is NOT available for "day-of" registration.

Parent/Child Teams:
Trophies will be awarded on 5/24/14 to two parent/child
teams that finish the 5K run with the fastest combined times (each team member remains eligible for individual awards as well) - one team with a combined age of 50 or under, the other with a joint age greater than 50. To qualify for this team award, EACH entrant MUST check PARENT/CHILD on his/her registration form and list the name of their teammate. If possible, these two entries should be mailed together.

The award ceremony for children (8-14) in the 5K, the team division winners and the top 3 male & female runners will take place immediately after the Children's
Fun Run. Please also note that participants MUST be
present to win one of our fantastic door prizes.

We are excited that the 18th Annual RGI River Run to benefit Kicks for Kids (KFK) will once again kick off the Tri-state's summer running season! The proceeds of the RGI River Run on Saturday (5/24/14) will support KFK's goal of "leveling the playing field" for local children challenged physically, mentally or by the environment in which they live.

To make the 2014 event another success, affordable pricing and other unique components will once again be featured! Registration and all post-race events will occur near the scenic Purple People Bridge; the 5K run/walk will bridge Newport, Covington & Cincinnati; the powerful Special K (for children with special needs) will again take place near the Peace Bell; the unique Parent/Child teams and the exciting Children's Fun Run will once again be offered. New to the event this year will be the School Team Challenge. The school with the biggest team can earn money for their school while giving back to the community! Awards, top prizes, live music and a ticket for free food & drink at the post-event party make this event one you will want to be a part of!

In partnership with Covington Partners and Cincinnati Children's Perlman Center, our goal is to provide an event that appeals to everyone...top runners as well as recreational athletes alike, families, students and those with special needs. There is a way for EVERYONE to participate and raise funds for kids in the process! We are condent that we will see you on Saturday, May 24!
