Corndog Classic 5K

The Tulsa Chapter of Team in Training and the Tulsa State Fair are pleased to present the 2011 Corndog Classic 5K, Fun Run and Corndog Challenge. This exciting event will be held on Saturday evening, September 24, 2011 at Expo Square in Tulsa, and will include a timed 5km run and race walk, a 1-mile fun run, a Corndog Challenge and a huge finish party with live music and food. Proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the United Way.

4:30 PM: Race day registration and packet pick-up
6:00 PM: Start - 5km run/walk and Corndog Challenge
6:15: PM: Start - One mile fun run

The 2011 Corndog Classic 5K Run/Walk will be contested on a USATF certified course and is a USATF sanctioned event.

Course begins and ends at the Expo Square near 21st and Yale. Timing by DG Productions.

Corndog Challenge: A special treat for those walkers and runners who would like to indulge in their favorite fair food before the fair opens! Corndog Challenge participants will have to FINISH a corndog, lemonade and cotton candy during the 5K run. (Serving sizes are modified.)

The following categories will receive awards:
* Overall male and female
* Standard age group runners (first 3 finishers)
* Corndog Challenge: overall male and female winners

All entrants will receive a commemorative Corndog Classic 5K t-shirt, 1 Fair Ticket, commemorative Fair Cup and coupon for free corndog at finish. T-shirts are available in adult sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Timing:
The 5km run will be timed using electronic timing. All runners and walkers entered in the 5km run will need to wear a timing device on their shoe in order to receive a time and finish result. Timing devices will be attached to your race bib.
