Case Creek Obstacles Shocktober Halloween Trail Run / Walk for Everyone is a 5k Run / Walk located on a farm in Coal Valley Il. ( NO OBSTACLES ) Beautiful trails thru fields, pristine timber woodlots and grain crops. There are hills and valleys presented throughout the course along with creek crossings ( great elevation changes ) .The Shocktober Halloween trail Run / walk is a great course for folks wanting to get off the roads and enjoy some of our beautiful trails. Our shocktober Halloween trail run / walks are very laid back and great fun for the entire family, making it fun & easy for all ages and all abilities looking to change up the running routine and get “off” the roads! This gives you a great opportunity to run a race, in a natural environment. Halloween Costumes are encouraged but not required ! There will be a few Volunteers in spooky / scary costumes along the trail possibly shocking or startling the run / walkers as they pass by .

Early sign up is $33 for adults ages 14 and up , $10 for children ages 5 to 13 accompanied by an adult ( All Children 5 - 13 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian ) , but there are price increases up until the event day so be sure to register sooner rather than later !

The run will go on regardless of the weather. In the case of extreme weather, the run may be cancelled or postponed a few hours.

5k CO-ED starts around 5: 05 PM

Arrive 1HR before your time for check in and Packet Pickup .

Spectators pay a $7 entry fee, there are plenty of areas where spectators can watch.

Time Slots for Volunteers:

• 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Volunteers are needed to give directions to and cheer on runners. We need lots of volunteers to have a successful race.
