About the Knight Run |
Our 1st Annual 2020 Knight Run will be held on the Old Creamery Trail. Rain or shine. Starting in Dysart,IA ( near the Casey's store on highway 21). It will head due east on the trail towards Garrison & Vinton. To accommodate everyone's needs we are hosting a variety of distances to match different levels of fitness. Turn arounds will be clearly marked & at that point participants will turn around & head back to the start/finish line in Dysart. Start times will provide a night race experience!
The trail is well maintained by Benton County Parks. It is a rails to trails course. Nearly 0 elevation gain and constructed entirely of pea gravel. It has some wooded areas along the sides to add demention and provide a unique Knight ( night ) time atmosphere. All road crossings will be secured for your safety.

Sponsorship of a mile |
We are offering an option of individual sponsorship of a mile, with a maximum of 10 sponsors each specific mile. We would ask that you 1st pick the mile you would like to sponsor. We then would ask that you email or send a COPY of a picture 3x5 or 4x7 (we ask for a copy as you will not be receiving this back) of your fallen soldier/ loved one to ryantresnak@gmail.com or mail to 303 N K Ave - Vinton, IA 52349. We will then post the picture along with a lit white cross in remembrance on that specific mile.
