Colby Smith Memorial Virtual and In-Person 4 Mile Classic

Every year, we honor the memory of Colby J. Smith with the Colby Smith Memorial 4-Mile Classic and Colby Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The run is a 4-mile, course-certified, Rockford Road Runners circuit race. The 14th and final race will be held in Freeport on Saturday, August 28th. Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female winners and medals are given to the top three male and female runners in all age groups. Proceeds from the race benefit the Colby Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships for students to attend Aquin Catholic Schools. To make a contribution to the scholarship fund, which has awarded over $100,000 to students since 2010, please use the "Donate" button below.

This year we will celebrate the last lap of the Colby Smith Memorial 4-Mile Classic. We are sad to announce that this will be our final Colby Run. Colby's children, Colby, Sedona and Chloe, will have all graduated from Aquin Catholic Schools, our family has become quite spread out across the country, and Tim and I are definitely getting older. We feel like this is the time. It has been a wonderful tribute to Colby's memory and the support from all of you has been incredible. We will be ending the run event after this year but will continue to have an annual appeal for the Colby Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund.
