*The Jingle for a Cure format is being altered to follow the State of Iowa COVID guidelines and to protect the safety and health of our participants and volunteers.*

Jingle for a Cure will be a “5K or One Mile Your Way” event. The official race course will be marked on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon, allowing participants to complete the race at their convenience. The race can also be completed on your favorite course or on your treadmill. Both the 5K and 1 mile official race courses will start and end at Legacy Plaza, 403 W. 4th Street S. and maps of the route will be available at the start.

All participants will receive a packet, including a race number, promotional items from our sponsors and a commemorative t-shirt. Packet pick up will take place on Friday, Dec. 4 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Gezellig Brewing Company, 403 W. 4th Street S., Newton, IA. Finisher’s medals will be mailed to participants the week of December 7.

Proceeds from this event support cancer services provided by MercyOne Newton Cancer & Infusion Care.

Each participant will receive a t-shirt* and jingle bells. All proceeds from the event will be donated to MercyOne Newton Cancer and Infusion Care to support cancer services.
*T-shirts are only guaranteed for participants who register before Nov. 20, 2020.

Event will follow proper COVID guidelines, including the wearing of masks until the race starts and proper social distancing. Overall winners will receive a prize and all participants will receive a finisher’s medal at the completion of the race; no post-race award ceremony will be held. If the event cannot be held in person, attendees will be notified directly and it will be held virtually.
