We are excited to announce Rise Like A Phoenix -- a traditional running and walking event in Eugene, Oregon at Alton Baker Park! This will be an evening event, starting at 6:00 pm and limited to the first 100 registrants. Once the event cap is reached, or if you prefer, you can choose to participate as a "virtual runner", have the race packet materials mailed out to you + complete a run / walk at your convenience.

Participants will start at 6:00pm, one at a time, starting every ten seconds, and released based on projected pace - the order to be determined at 5:55pm.

The start will be facilitated by a head starter and coordinator, utilizing a running time of day clock.

All participants will be on the course before the first finisher arrives.

In accordance with state guidelines, participants need to wear a mask if they can’t maintain six feet of physical distance.

This event will not have aid stations - all participants are expected to be self-sufficient. There will be no post-race refreshments.

All participants will have a bib number with a timing chip on the back - please leave this attached. Upon crossing the starting line, a participants time will begin, and end upon crossing the finish line. At the end of the finish chute a volunteer will instruct participants to remove the pull-strip with the timing chip and deposit it into a receptacle for recycling.

Timing equipment will be stationed at the 5K (3.1 miles) point of the course to capture 5K splits, which will be posted in the results online. Please wear your bib on the front and keep it visible at all times.
