About the Frisco Education Foundation


Celebrating 20 years of investing in the future of Frisco ISD students and staff. The Frisco Education Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) started in 1999 to benefit the students and staff of Frisco ISD. The Foundation's mission is to provide financial resources to maximize student potential in the Frisco Independent School District through educational scholarships, including the Gary Burns Memorial Scholarship for high school seniors and teachers through innovative "Grants for Great Ideas". Week One: Steam Tracks for AM/PM Sessions

When registering for Week 1 (AM or PM), please have your student choose one track from the list below. This track will build throughout the week - leading to a project in your student's area of study:Week
1 AM/PM Tracks + Descriptions
Introduction to Animation, Coding & Game Design
Students will be introduced to the process of creating animation and game design by writing and analyzing programming code.
Film & Video Production
Jump into the magic and discipline of the multi-media and moviemaking arts and sciences with practical, hands-on “reel” world experiences.
Medical Science
Provides students with hands-on experience while exploring the careers in the health and science field.
Science of Sports
Students will be introduced to the science behind sports and technology in a fun learning environment that brings math and science to life using sports and technology.
Intersection of Arts and Technology
Students will explore their creative side by examining various applications of arts-based skills through the use of technology and related careers in the arts.
Exploration of Technology
Students will explore the use of multiple technologies to include wearable tech, lily pad Arduinos and robotics.
Introduction to Drone Technology (additional $50 fee take-home kit)
This is a specialized program that teaches STEAM and real-world application of drone technology. Requires an additional fee of $50 for class participation and take-home kit.

Week Two AM/PM Sessions

Hands-on and interactive approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) in order to introduce students to the various careers in the area of STEAM. Students will get experience in all areas of STEAM, rather than a focus on solely one element of STEAM (as in Week 1 camps).

Refund Policy

If your child cannot attend FEF Mindbender Academy, the refund amount is $180, and $20 is kept by FEF as an administration fee for each camp registration. The deadline to receive a refund is Monday, May 20, 2019. Please contact FEF at 469-633-6860 to file for a refund.

After May 20th, NO refunds are issued for campers who choose to withdraw from camp.

All communication by the FEF has stated that students may only be registered for ONE Mindbender Academy AM or PM Session per week. If you sign up your child for more than one session per week, FEF refunds only $180, and $20 is kept by FEF as an administration fee.
