The race committee strongly discourages the use of headphones as part of this race is on public streets. If you decide to use headphones you do so at your own risk.

Given immediately following the race.

Trophies awarded for overall male & female finisher. Medals given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the following categories for both male & female runners: Up to 13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ and Walker. In order to be eligible for a walking award, you must keep one foot on the ground at all times.

Final results will be posted on www.gothedistance5K.com the week following the race.

Participants that register on or before 11:59 pm on April 7th (with shirt option) will receive a Navy long sleeved t-shirt with their entry. Please mark your size on the entry form.

Registrations received on or before April 7th are guaranteed the requested shirt size.

The Go the Distance for Crime Victims 5K Run/Walk is an annual fundraiser to help support victims of crime. Not only is this a fun event to demonstrate our unified intolerance of crimes against victims but the money raised assists victims with needs not covered by other sources of funding. Go the Distance 5K provides financial support for victims of all types of crimes, including but not limited to, survivors of homicide and vehicular homicide, victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence victims in the 6th, 7th & 8th Judicial Districts of Iowa.
