Save Our Red Cells Walk |
Dear Friends, Family & Supporters,
The Great Ife Alumni Association (Great Ife) is committed to driving positive change in both our local communities and globally. To this end, Great Ife is hosting our Save Our Red Cells Walk on September 29th, 2018. We are striving to raise awareness for the Sickle Cell disease, as well as raise funds for research into its treatment and cure. As of 2015, about 4.4 million people had sickle-cell disease while an additional 43 million had sickle-cell traits. The sickle cell disease affects 90,000 to 100,000 Americans.
