What is the Frisco Education Foundation Gary Burns 5K & Fun Run? |
Frisco Education Foundation's major fundraiser to host more than 6,000 runners, walkers and volunteers participating at Toyota Stadium. The one-mile fun run/walk and 5K certified race is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation, which supports Frisco ISD through educational programs, student scholarships and grants for innovative educators.
About the Frisco Education Foundation |
Celebrating 19 years of investing in the future of Frisco ISD students and staff. The Frisco Education Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) started in 1999 to benefit the students and staff of Frisco ISD. The Foundation's mission is to provide financial resources to maximize student potential in the Frisco Independent School District through educational scholarships, including the Gary Burns Memorial Scholarship for high school seniors and teachers through innovative "Grants for Great Ideas". To date, the Frisco Education Foundation has awarded over $4.5 million in college scholarships to more than 4,980 graduating seniors and more than $657,000 to educators to fund innovative ideas that benefit teaching and learning in the classroom. Race Day Registration - $35 for Adults and $20 for students

Electronic Timing
- Disposable electronic chip timing will be used at this event for the 5K Run only.
- Walk/Fun Run participants will not be timed and thus are not eligible for awards other than spirit and campus participation.

Team participants please note: Please verify a standardized team name with your team captain in order to be placed/timed with the correct team. We are not responsible for any team members misplaced or left off a team due to incorrect team name being submitted by participant.

Top 3 finishers in the following age categories: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.

- Walk/Fun Run: strollers, children, leisure walkers and anyone who wants to participate is welcome - registration required.
- Entertainment for all ages and plenty of fun for the kids (including the Frisco Fire Clowns).
*Prohibitions:
Please note: For the safety of all participants, there are No pets, Skateboards or Roller Blades allowed or any wheels of any kind except for wheelchairs. Strollers are welcome but must line up at the back of the start line.
T-shirts |
- Frisco Education Foundation Gary Burns Frisco Fun Run T-shirt for participants.
- T-shirts will be distributed at packet pick up on a first come, first served basis.
- Shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
- Participants who register late or do not pick up their packet are not guaranteed an event T-Shirt.

Parking, Drop Off Area for Participants & Volunteers, and Road Closures |
PLEASE NOTE: The course and venue area is in the 'Gold Lot' at Toyota Stadium located on the Northwest side of the stadium near Dr. Pink Field.
- Roads will begin closing at 6 a.m. Parking will only be available in the Red Lot located off of the Dallas North Tollway and Technology.
-You may also utilize the DROP OFF area in the Red Lot to drop off race participants and volunteers in the Drop Off Map shown above!
- Due to Soccer League Play around the stadium on race day AND the high participation in the event, car traffic and foot traffic will be heavy. Please plan accordingly and pack your patience.
- On-site Registration and Packet Pick Up will open at 6:30 a.m.
- The I-Mile will begin at 8 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m.
