The 2015 challenge will benefit Wildwood Hills Ranch, which provides life-changing opportunities and camp programs for at-risk and disadvantaged children here in Central Iowa. The CBC Foundation supports smaller central Iowa charities that are devoted to making the lives of underprivileged youth better, and has had a long-term relationship with Wildwood Hills Ranch. The Wild Boar Challenge is an off-road obstacle course designed by Farrell's Extreme Bodyshaping to push participants through a series of challenges that test both their speed and agility as they navigate through the course. This is a local, non-profit event run by a local organization, and the funds that are raised stay in central Iowa. The event is hosted by the CBC Foundation and attracts a wide range of participants from all over Iowa with different skills and abilities.

The course covers just over 4 miles at the Wildwood Hills Ranch and features a number of difficult and exciting obstacles that participants will have to navigate (hay bales, mud, barbed wire, etc.) in some of the most beautiful and hilly terrain in central Iowa. Past obstacles have included the "Pig Prod," "Big Bad Wolf," "Saucy Sow and the "Drill Sergeant".

NEW for 2015!! For those who prefer to have a more leisurely (and significantly less muddy) experience the WBC is offering a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.

The route will offer a beautiful view of the Wildwood Hills Ranch wooded paths and lake in early fall. The start and finish areas will be shared with the full course runners and there will be some "optional" obstacles toward the end of the route for those bold Fun Run/Walkers who choose to do so. Perfect for kids and families or those who prefer to get to the after party sooner than later! Participants will enjoy all of the benefits of race t-shirt and after party food and beverages and post race fun!

Founded in 1987, the Contributors' Breakfast Club is an organization focused on charitable work, reciprocity and social activities. In 2003, the CBC Foundation was created to formalize the charitable aspect and has raised over $500,000 for central Iowa charities.
This charitable endowment is a donor-advised fund of the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation.

Music, pork roast and beverages will be provided at the post-event festivities along with music and general fun (ID required for alcohol). The Wild Boar Challenge is an all volunteer, not for profit race and all of the post race food and beverages are offered free of charge thanks to our great sponsors!!
