Event Waiver and Release of Liability

WARNING: READ CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS AND DEPRIVES YOU OF THE RIGHT TO SUE THIS EVENT AND OTHER PARTIES. DO NOT SIGN THIS AGREEMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. SEEK THE ADVICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ITS EFFECT.

I understand that my consent to these provisions is given in consideration of the acceptance of this registration and for being permitted to participate in this event. I am a voluntary participant in this event, and in good physical condition. I have been advised that I should seek advice from my physician before undertaking this physical exercise. I have either visited with my physician and received doctor's advice and consent to my exercise program or have waived such advice and consent of my doctor, and except any and all risks.

I know that running a race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in the Run the Rock races including, but not limited to, falls contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the course, all such risks being know and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Rock Island Arsenal, Run the Rock officials, organizers, and all volunteers associated with Run the Rock, sponsors, their representatives, event organizers, and their representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of participation in this event. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose
