Thinking of participating in the Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day 10k Run & Walk virtually this year? We can make that happen—and you can still get your turkey on the table in time!

See below for helpful information regarding the virtual option and what to expect if you select the virtual experience.

What is a virtual event?
A virtual race is a running/walking event that you do on your own time in the location of your choice with family, close friends or just with your wonderful self. It is a healthy way to get the whole family to compete whether they’re by your side or in a far corner of the world. Same goes for friends and colleagues.

Each participant this year will receive a virtual race kit that includes a “finishers” soft t-shirt, running gloves, optional hoodie, and gifts; and, you can download your personalized race bib. Proceeds will benefit all our charities.

Do I have to run my virtual event on Thanksgiving Day?
No, we hope you will run it ‘Thanksgiving Day Week’ Nov. 22 thru Nov 29. This way we can at least have everyone “closer together” to calculate results and experience the joy of your uploaded pictures.

Will it be a set course or one we can make up?
Participants can choose their own route for the virtual event. It would be unsafe for us to provide a route that everyone could use at any specific time. And here’s the fun part—some runners might be in Singapore or Cincinnati or St. Louis! We can’t wait to see your pictures on YOUR course.

Will I have to use my phone, running watch or other device to upload my results?
We’re going to be on the honor system for completing the event. However, we will be asking participants to upload their finish time so we can have a results page and you can see how great you are. Please share your “finish line” photos on social media using the hashtag #runcincinnati so we can see those “finish line poses.”

What is in my race kit?
Each participant this year will receive a virtual race kit that includes a “finishers” soft t-shirt, running gloves, optional hoodie, and gifts; and, you can download your personalized race bib.

Will it be mailed to me or can I still pick it up at JackRabbit in O'Bryonville?
You have a choice! You can have it mailed to you for $5 or run on over to JackRabbit in O'Bryonville and pick it up. You can also pick up other people’s race kits.

Will there be awards for the virtual event?
As everyone will be on the honor system and submitting their own finish times, we will not be offering awards for the virtual event.

The Pepto KIDS Virtual Fun Run is a fun way to celebrate good health for children ages 5 to 10 years old. It is a non-competitive fun run wherever you want it to be! You choose the distance. Are they ready for a whole mile? Or more importantly, are you ready to run with them!?

The event is $10 and includes their own race kit: a finisher’s shirt, running gloves, downloadable bib, finishers certificate, and other gifts.
