Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are making this year's race a virtual race. On the day of the race you choose the location and run/walk your 5k in support of Sister Cities of Greenfield . After you finish email us a picture of yourself on the run/walk and we will email you a certificate! Your participation will help support the Sister Cities of Greenfield organization, which will in turn provide travel and hosting experience for Greenfield students and their teachers along with parents, as well.

For 30 years, Sister Cities of Greenfield has been sending delegations of students and teachers to our Sister City, Kakuda, Japan. Thanks to generous support from the city, from Keihin Corporation, and from activities like the 5K Walk/Run, students have been able to travel to Kakuda for much less than the actual cost of airfare and lodging. Likewise, Sister Cities of Greenfield has hosted dozens of Japanese student delegations. These exchanges have enabled hundreds of individuals to personally appreciate the fact that different races and nationalities don't matter much when true friendship develop.

Due to the virtual status of the race you get to choose where you run your 5k!

If you choose to run your virtual 5k on the trail, parking is available on the local streets near the Sister Cities Park, which is just south of 116 S. State Street. Additionally, these is a free city parking lot at the corner of S. Pennsylvania and E. South Street.

Run your virtual 5k anytime the day of Saturday, August 15, 2020.

Once you complete your virtual 5k, email us a picture and we will email you a certificate!
