Waiver

In registering myself or other participants, I understand and agree to absolve all cities, sponsors, organizers, and supporters, be they individuals or organizations, singly or collectively, of all blame for any injury, misadventure, harm, loss or inconveniences suffered as a result of taking part in Floatzilla or any activities associated with the event. I also agree to obey all safety rules posted for the event. All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device. I also agree to obey all safety rules and regulations posted for the event. Among these, I am aware that the City of Rock Island does not permit alcoholic beverages in city parks and I understand that it is unlawful to operate a watercraft while under the influence of alcohol. Floatzilla necessitates safe and responsible conduct-intoxicated persons are not permitted and may be subject to arrest. I grant River Action, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs of me and my property in connection with the event. I authorize River Action, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I agree that River Action may use such photographs of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content. I release to River Action, its representatives and employees the right to use for such purposes photographs which I publicly share without any restrictions. I agree that I will neither seek nor receive any refund, partial or full.
