Event Waiver and Release of Liability

I know that running or walking in the Mansfield Kiwanis FaLaLaLa 5K ("Event") is a potentially dangerous activity. I should not enter the Event unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official concerning my ability to safely complete the Event. I assume all risks arising out of my participation in the Event including but not limited to personal injury, property damage or wrongful death. Having read this waiver and release of liability, and knowing these facts and as further consideration to be allowed to participate in the Event in addition to the entry fee, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Kiwanis International, Kiwanis Club of Mansfield, Inc., Kiwanis Club of Mansfield Foundation, Chip2Chip Race Timing, the City of Mansfield, Mansfield Methodist Medical Center and all Event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the Event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of entities named in this waiver and release. I further grant permission to all the named entities to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of Event for any legitimate purpose. I agree that Event will be held regardless of weather conditions. Registration is final, no refunds.
