Event Waiver and Release of Liability

I, the undersigned, understand that participating in the City of Bell’s 5K and/or 1K race exposes me and/or my child(ren) (name above) to risks of property damage, personal injury, or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to hold harmless and release the City of Bell, its officers, employees, agents, and other participants from any claims, damages, injuries, or losses arising from participation, including active or passive negligence. In consideration for being permitted to participate, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Bell, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or suits arising out of or in connection with my or my child(ren)’s participation in the event. This includes claims related to injury, death, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, and applies to my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns. I grant the City of Bell permission to use any photographs or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes. In the event of an emergency, I authorize paramedics to provide medical treatment if necessary.
