Event Waiver and Release of Liability

WARNING: READ CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS, AND WAIVER OF PHOTO RELEASE AND DEPRIVES YOU OF THE RIGHT TO SUE THIS EVENT AND OTHER PARTIES. DO NOT SIGN THIS AGREEMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. SEEK THE ADVICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ITS EFFECT.

I understand that my consent to these provisions is given in consideration of the acceptance of this registration and for being permitted to participate in this event. I am a voluntary participant in this event, and in good physical condition. I have been advised that I should seek advice from my physician before undertaking this physical exercise. I have either visited with my physician and received doctor's advice and consent to my exercise program or have waived such advice and consent of my doctor, and accept any and all risks.

I KNOW THAT THIS EVENT IS A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY AND I HEREBY ASSUME FULL AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY OR ACCIDENT WHICH MAY OCCUR DURING MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT OR WHILE ON THE PREMISES OF THIS EVENT, AND I HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AND COVENANT NOT TO FILE SUIT AGAINST THIS EVENT AND ANY AFFILIATED INDIVIDUALS OR ENTITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT (THE RELEASEES) FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY OR CLAIMS I MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY ME OR OTHERS, WHETHER SAME BE CAUSED BY FALLS, CONTACT WITH PARTICIPANTS, CONDITIONS OF THE COURSE, NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.

I, hereby waive any rights and claims to the use and publication of photographs or images of myself taken during Cops & Joggers 5K & Fun Run, held on September 12, 2026, by Boone County Sheriff's Auxiliary and its representatives.

I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Waiver of Rights: I waive any rights I may have to the use of my image, likeness, and photographs taken during Cops & Joggers 5K & Fun Run.
No Compensation: I acknowledge that I will not receive any financial compensation for the use of my image, likeness, or photographs taken during Cops & Joggers 5K & Fun Run.
Release of Liability: I release Boone County Sheriff's Auxiliary, its representatives, employees, and any third parties acting under its permission or authority from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs or images.
Confidentiality: I understand that Boone County Sheriff's Auxiliary may use the photographs or images for its promotional purposes or related activities. I acknowledge that Boone County Sheriff's Auxiliary may share these photographs or images with third parties without my prior consent, and I waive any right to confidentiality in this regard.
Revocation: This waiver of photo release statement shall remain valid indefinitely unless otherwise revoked in writing by me. However, I understand that revoking this waiver does not affect any prior use of photographs or images taken during Cops & Joggers 5K & Fun Run.
