CRMO Awareness Virtual 5K Walk-A-Thon - Team Azzie

Azzie is 4 years old and was diagnosed with CRMO in March of this year. It all started when we noticed her walking with a limp and couldn’t jump or run without being in pain. We took her in to multiple doctors, and after being admitted to Seattle Children’s for three days, two MRI’s later, we received the CRMO diagnoses. She had two lesions in her bones, one in her spine and one in her femur. She is one brave and strong little girl!

So what is CRMO? It is a rare (literally ONE in a MILLION) auto inflammatory/ auto immune bone disease that causes bone pain due to inflammation in the bones. The immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue and organs, causing inflammation. There is currently no cure, but there are medications which can help ease the pain, inflammation and even put CRMO into remission.

Please come out and walk with us to raise awareness and support her and all the CRMO warriors!

We will be doing our walk on Thursday, October 7th at 4:30pm on the Lowell Riverfront Trail in Everett, Wa. Kids are more than welcome to bring their bikes and scooters to ride along as well!
