CCVI Trolley Run - 31st Annual - Go Go Go Harper Girl

Come walk, run, or roll with Harper Girl to support her school!

Due to her brain injury, Harper was diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment, in which her brain does not process visual information very well. Harper began receiving services from the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI) in 2014. Miss Shelley came to our home once a week to teach us ways we could help improve Harper's visual processing.

Harper joined Miss Gayla's class at CCVI when she turned two in September 2015 . She attended half days until this year when we moved to a full days with Miss Hannah. Since this is her last year of pre-K Harper is working hard to get ready for Kindergarten next year!

In addition to the visual therapy she receives in the classroom, she also receives physical/aquatic therapy with Miss Alicia, occupational therapy and assistive technology instruction with Miss Tammy, and speech therapy with Miss Erica. Because of the wonderful therapists at CCVI, Harper is scheduled to get a communication device so she can tell us what she's really thinking!

CCVI has been such an important part in helping Harper have the best quality of life possible. The Trolley Run is the largest fundraiser for the school and helps students like Harper receive all of the therapies and instruction needed to reach their highest potential. We would love to see on Sunday, April 28th but if you can't make it, donations are always appreciated!
