Our first Steady Strides 5K was at Lakota West High School with just four of us braving the elements on a cloudy, chilly, drizzly day. It was a good start to what has become a yearly event with our numbers increasing yearly. This year we made a bold move and have an official team.

Our team is Joe-V's Gang in honor and support of Joe Schweitzer. Joe was diagnosed with Parkinson's April, 2007. He continues to be an inspiration to all of us with his positive attitude, busy schedule which includes working at The Vineyard Golf Course, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

We dedicate this 2018 Steady Strides 5K to Joe --
a wonderful opportunity for all of us to be together once again and welcome our newcomers to share in this worthwhile experience.
