New Social Distancing Guidelines |
Tuxedo Brothers is excited to host the Cicero Triathlon in 2021, but we want to make sure all participants, volunteers, and spectators feels safe and comfortable. With this in mind, social distancing guidelines will be enforced. We will follow all recommendations from the local health department with regards to social distancing and requirements of face masks.
About This Event |
It’s back and better than ever! The Cicero Triathlon will be staged out of Red Bridge Park in Cicero, IN. This popular, sprint distance triathlon is great for beginners, as it begins with a short/straight 400 yard swim across Morse Reservoir. The gently rolling Bike course will loop you through part of Hamilton Country before heading back to the park. Finally, the 3 mile run course is an out-and-back format. Stick around afterwards for post-race refreshments and the awards ceremony.
This event is open to everyone ages 14 and above.

Triathlon - 400 yard swim, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run
Duathlon - 2 mile run, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run
Location/Parking |
The event is located at Red Bridge Park in Cicero, IN.
Participants and spectators will be allowed to use the parking lot, where the swim start will take place. The address is 409 W Jackson St, Cicero.
Any overflow parking will be allowed to use the parking lot at the Cicero Wesleyan Church (one block from the swim start).
Participant Shirts |
All participants who pre-register by June 13 will be guaranteed an awesome, softstyle T-shirt. Sizes/availability may be limited after June 13.
Please note that shirts will be ordered in Unisex sizing. Choose accordingly when registering.
Packet Pick Up & Late Registration |
You must pick up YOUR OWN packet. You CANNOT pick up a packet for someone else. You must show picture ID and USAT membership number. This is a USAT rule.**

Stick around after you finish for the awards ceremony. Awards will be given out to participants in the following format. Awards will be self-serve, and winners will pick up their own awards from the table.

Age groups are as follows: 14-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34...75+
Also Clydesdale and Athena Division (males 220+ lbs and females 165+ lbs)
There is also a Fat Tire Division, for those wishing to use mountain bikes (wheels must be a minimum of 1.5 inches and have upright handlebars)
If you compete in the Fat Tire or Clydesdale/Athena you will NOT be eligible for age-group awards.
Teams |
Triathlon
There are 3 divisions for Relay Teams (2 or 3 per team): All Male, All Female, and Co-ed. Relay teams compete in a relay format - one person swims, then one person bikes, then one person runs. The top 3 in each division will receive awards - get a team and have some fun!
Duathlon

USAT Sanctioned |
These events are sanctioned by the USA Triathlon. All USAT rules will be enforced. Please visit www.teamusa.org/usa-triathlon for information on rules and regulations as well as information for those interested in obtaining a USA Triathlon License. The event is limited to ages 14 and above.
Volunteer Information |
We cannot make our events a great success without our WONDERFUL volunteers! Donate you time and help keep our athletes safe. We welcome individuals, groups, and organizations to join us!
All volunteers receive an event t-shirt and have access to refreshments. We donate back to groups/organizations that volunteer with us for the day.
The following shifts are available:
Packet pick-up: 6:15AM - 8:00am
- Packet pick-up volunteers pass out bibs, timing tags, shirts, etc to participants.
Body Marking: 6:30AM - 8:00AM
- Body Marking volunteers write the participants bib number on their arm to prepare them for competition.
Water Station: 7:00AM - 10:30AM
-Water Station volunteers pass out water and/or Gatorade to the participants on the course. Water Station volunteers will be at their designated water stop.
Transition: 7:00AM - 10:00AM
-Transition volunteers assist within the transition area where the bikes and gear are placed. They help participants in locating their transition station, give directional assistance during the race, and secure the area.
Run Course: 7:00AM - 10:30AM
-Run Course Marshal volunteers give directional assistance to participants out on the run course.
Bike Course: 7:00AM - 10:30AM
-Bike Course Marshal volunteers give directional assistance to participants out on the bike course.
Finish Line: 7:30AM - 10:30AM
-Finish Line volunteers can help with one or more of the following duties, passing out water, removing timing tags, preparing refreshment tent for finishers.
