The FAM Turkey Trot is a family friendly way to kick off your Thanksgiving, whether you're a competitive runner or want to bring your “flock” to join you and walk. Teams are encouraged in memory of a loved one, so that you can raise funds in their honor. Supporting the SHINE program at Blank Children’s Hospital, you’ll join fellow runners, joggers, and walkers in a fun morning and earn your turkey dinner. We can’t anticipate the weather, but we can guarantee a tradition for years to come!

A Raffle will also take place with tickets going on sale November 5th through race day. You do not need to be present to win. Click here or visit our Facebook page to see a list of raffle items and enter for a chance to win.

8:00 am - Packet Pick-up, Registration, Raffle open at Raccoon River Park
9:00 am - 5K Walk/Run start at Coneflower Shelter, Raccoon River Park
10:30 am - Awards/Prizes at Coneflower Shelter. Top fundraising team, raffle drawings, do not need to be present to win.
Age group award winners, overall Turkey Trot winners will be recognized as results are available.

Packet pick up/walk in registration available Wednesday, November 22nd, 11am-4:00pm at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway, 50266.

5K Run/Walk starts and finishes at Coneflower Shelter at Raccoon River Park, West Des Moines. Free parking available. Route loops on crushed gravel path around the lake rain, snow, or sunshine. Dress accordingly

T-shirts can be picked up on Wednesday, November 22nd at Lutheran Church of Hope or on race day, November 23rd at Raccoon River Park. Please contact us if you need to arrange another time.

Those registering after November 9th will receive a t-shirt while quantities last. Race t-shirts are GUARANTEED for those registered by Friday, Nov 9th.

To create a Thanksgiving tradition as we support and connect families that have lost a child. The event raises funds for the SHINE program at Blank Children's Hospital that provides support and hope for those families.

This year you have the option of adding a FAM turkey trot beanie for only $18. Beanies can be picked up at packet pick up or on race day.
