Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run – Virtual Run Q&A

What is a virtual run?
A virtual run allows participants to complete the Sagicor SIGMA Run at their convenience - anytime and anywhere. You may run or walk the 5.5K (3.4 miles) race distance at your own pace. You choose your own race day during the race period, your own starting time and your own course, whether it’s in your community, on a treadmill or at a park.

How does the Sagicor Sigma Virtual Run work?
Register and pay online at https://sagicorsigmarun.com by Saturday, February 14. Once your registration is processed, you’ll receive an email with your personalized Sigma Run virtual bib. Then, simply complete the 5.5K (3.4 miles) distance any day and anywhere up to Sunday, February 22. Remember to record your time, then submit it by Wednesday, February 25, using the results submission link provided in your registration e-package. After submitting your time, you may download your Virtual Run Finisher’s Certificate. Follow us on social media to receive training tips, learn about our beneficiaries, and more.

Who can register?
Everyone – of all ages and abilities – is invited to participate! From brand-new runners to experienced road race participants and everyone in between. Sign up the whole family and be active together while supporting a noble cause. Of course, please gauge your fitness level to ensure that you can complete the distance. Participants take part in the virtual run at their own risk (or under the supervision of a parent/guardian in the case of a minor).

I am not located in Jamaica; can I still participate?
Absolutely! A virtual run is the perfect opportunity to join in and contribute to towards the 2025 fundraising goal of J$150 million for five (5) schools in the western parishes that were significantly impacted by Hurricane Melissa: Salt Marsh Primary, Mayfield Primary and Infant, Hopewell High, Green Pond High, and Little London High.

I am not a runner; can walkers participate?
Of course! We love our walkers, and we welcome anyone who wants to support the cause while getting in their daily steps and keeping active.

What do I get for registering?
You will receive a downloadable race bib and a downloadable finisher’s certificate. Most importantly, all virtual run registration fees go directly towards our J$150 million goal.

Where can I run my virtual race?
You can complete the race anywhere that’s convenient to you during the 9-day virtual race period of Saturday, February 14 to Sunday February 22. You choose your own route for the virtual event, at a park, at a track or use a treadmill at the gym. Whatever route you choose, we ask that you stay safe when you do your virtual race.

How do I track my distance and record my time?
There are many apps you can download on your smartphone to map out a 5.5K (3.4 miles) route and track your distance and time. After registering, you will receive an email with a unique link to submit your time. Please do not share the link with anyone. At the end of the race period, all results will be listed on our website for public viewing. We ask all participants to uphold the spirit of honest racing by running the full 5.5K (3.4 miles) distance and reporting their accurate time.

Can I run the distance across multiple days?
We encourage you to run the 5K (3.4 miles) distance in one day and at one time, just like you would if participating in the in-person event.

Will there be awards for the virtual run?
While there are no awards or prizes for the virtual run, the best reward is that through your participation, there will be a tangible improvement to lives of so many young Jamaicans.

Should I capture my virtual run with pictures and videos?
Yes! Inspire others by letting them know why you are supporting the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run by sharing your pictures and videos with the tag #SigmaRun2026.

About Our Race Beneficiaries

February 15, 2026, will mark the 28th anniversary for Sagicor’s annual charity event, SIGMA Corporate Run, a flagship charity race that supports Jamaica’s health and education sectors.  We are inviting a team from your company to join us as we Run for the West.

In 2025, thanks to kind contributions and sponsorship from individuals and corporate entities such as yours, the Sagicor SIGMA Corporate Run was able to raise over $128 million for the Kingston Public Hospital, Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre, and Father Ho Lung and Friends Foundation.

This year’s proceeds will go directly towards five (5) schools in the western parishes that were significantly impacted by Hurricane Melissa: Salt Marsh Primary, Mayfield Primary and Infant, Hopewell High, Green Pond High, and Little London High.
