We're keeping Cayson's memory alive! Come join us on Saturday, April 4th, to celebrate Cayson's Birthday, for the second annual Cayson Pearson Memorial FUN RUN / WALK and KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT (yes, knockout: the popular playground basketball shooting competition)!

FUN RUN / WALK:

7:30am CHECK-IN: Green Mountain High School cafeteria. 

Check-in will start at 7:30am.

8:15am RACE BEGINS: Heats begin at 8:15am with runners taking off first from the "Ram". Both runners and walkers will follow the same 3.1 mile loop through the Green Mountain Neighborhood. 

The entry cost is $30 per participant (No Bikes, No Pets; Kids 5 & under are free). New this year, professional timing and bibs with chips.

KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT:

9:00am WARM UP and CHECK-IN: Meet inside the Athletic entrance to check in and receive punch card.

9:20am FIRST ROUNDS OF KNOCKOUT BEGIN: Knockout rounds will start for each division every 10 minutes from 9:20am through 11:00am.

Purchase a $15 punch card, or purchase a $25 punch card plus (the $15 punch card gets you a guaranteed 5 rounds of knockout, the $25 punch card plus gets you a T-shirt, prize entry drawing and goody bag). There will be 10 total knockout rounds available, single rounds can be purchased on site.

We will have up to 8 divisions available (will combine divisions if needed):

*Coed 3rd grade and under (shooting first shot from 2 feet in front of free throw line)

*Boys 4th and 5th (shooting first shot from free throw line)

*Girls 4th and 5th (shooting first shot from free throw line)

*Boys 6th-8th (shooting first shot from free throw line)

*Girls 6th-8th (shooting first shot from free throw line)

*Boys 9th-12th (shooting first shot from 3 point line)

*Girls 9th-Adult (shooting first shot from free throw line)

*OPEN (shooting first shot from 3 point line)

11:30am: Winners of each of the possible 5-10 rounds will go on to compete against the other round winners in their division at 11:15am to be the division's Knockout Champion! Champions will get prizes.

Entrance Prizes:
We will have some Entrance Prizes available to everyone who registers to walk, run or play knockout. Prizes awarded at 11:00am

Scholarship Awards:
Scholarships will be awarded at 11:15am. We would like all scholarship recipients to be there for the ceremony.

Proceeds will go towards the Cayson Pearson Memorial Scholarship Fund to keep sharing the basketball dream with aspiring hoopers.
