Donations & Proceeds

All proceeds from the Fun Run go directly to supporting the Community Supper Program here in Newberg. This is a collaborative effort where churches across the community each take a day of the week to provide free, warm meals for anyone in need.

At River Street Church of God, our turn is every Wednesday. On those nights, neighbors can come together for a hot meal and a welcoming space. Alongside the supper, we also offer a shower program, giving individuals the opportunity to feel refreshed, clean, and cared for.

By participating in this event—or donating even if you can’t attend—you’re helping keep this vital program running. Every step you take (and every dollar raised) helps ensure more people in Newberg can go to bed warm, full, and supported.

What to Expect on the Course

The Cornucopia 5K is a community-friendly route that’s perfect for both runners and walkers. The course begins and ends at the River Street Church of God parking lot, winding through nearby neighborhood streets.

This is a timed race, but the focus is fun — whether you’re aiming for a ribbon or taking a leisurely stroll with family, you’re welcome. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed, and kids are encouraged to join in.

Along the way, you’ll find:

  • A water station halfway through the route
  • Volunteers throughout to provide support and cheer you on
  • A kid-friendly scavenger hunt built into the course to keep little ones engaged

The run takes place rain or shine, so be sure to come prepared in comfortable running or walking attire.

Every mile you complete helps support the Community Supper Program, ensuring more of our neighbors can share a warm meal and feel cared for.
