We are excited to announce the Greensboro Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, a Thanksgiving tradition for 24 years and the largest turkey trot in Greensboro, NC, is now under NEW OWNERSHIP! For more than two decades, the Gobbler has brought families, friends, and the Greensboro community together to kick off the holiday, and that legacy will continue with an even bigger festive spirit for runners and walkers of all ages.

We plan to not only preserve the event’s traditions but also introduce a number of new opportunities to make race day even more memorable. Plans are underway to expand the participant experience with fun enhancements on and off the course, while also adding a charitable component to give back to the local community. With fresh energy and a renewed commitment to impact, the Gobbler is set to grow as both a holiday tradition and a meaningful way to start Thanksgiving morning. Welcome to the 25th Annual Greensboro Gobbler 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk! We're super excited to kick-off our 25th anniversary and can't wait to release this year's awesome shirts, closer to race day. Early registration is now open with the biggest savings we've ever offered (up to 33% off). All registrants of both the 5K and 1 mile run will receive a super-soft T-shirt included with their registration. Awards will be presented to the top finishers in each age group as well!

We're excited to continue this cherished community tradition at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro on Thanksgiving morning and can't wait to see you there!

• There will be packet pick up and in-person registration on race morning starting at 6:30 AM
  
• 8:00 AM: 1 mile walk/run starts
  
• 8:30 AM: 5K starts
  
• There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the conclusion of the race.
  
• The race is located at Center City Park in Greensboro, NC. Center City Park, located in the heart of downtown Greensboro, fills the block between North Elm and North Davie Streets and is bordered on the south by West Friendly Avenue and on the north by the Renaissance Tower office building.The Park’s main entrance is at 200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401
  

Pre-race packet pickup (Bib + T-Shirt): Monday, Nov 24-Wed, Nov 26 from 11am-6pm each day at The Natural Dog Pet Food Market at 2431 Battleground Ave, Greensboro, NC 27408. 

Race Day packet pickup: Thursday, Nov 27 starting at 6:30am at registration area near start/finish line. 

*Please have your bib # ready at packet pickup to help the lines move faster. You can pick up packets for friends and family as long as you have their bib # or their full names. Bib #'s will be emailed to all registrants the week before packet pickup.

We're excited to raise money for Greensboro Urban Ministries and will also be accepting food donations! Please bring food donations to packet pickup and we'll have collection boxes waiting to be filled.

All runners, including 5K runners and 1-mile fun run/walk will receive a custom super-soft long-sleeve T-shirt. The shirt guarantee deadline is 10/20/2025.

Additional shirts will be available for purchase at bib pick up and on race day for $10 each. Stay tuned for our swag release and the reveal of this year's 25th Anniversary T-shirt closer to race day.
