11th Annual South Shore Half Marathon & 5K

We’re excited to announce the 11th Annual South Shore Half Marathon and 5K on November 2 in beautiful Hanover, MA! Known for being one of the most scenic and popular half marathons and 5K’s in Massachusetts, and considering we’re offering the lowest early bird pricing ever, you won’t want to miss out!

We’ve also added new, more fun swag including long-sleeve t-shirts and medals for all runners, as well as 1 FREE beer (21+ with valid ID) at Sullivan’s Castle Island (Hanover Crossing location) for an epic post-race celebration!

6:00 AM – Registration Opens
7:30 AM – Half Marathon Starts at Hanover Crossing
8:00 AM – 5K Starts at Hanover Crossing

All parking will take place in the parking lots at Hanover Crossing right near the start/finish line. You must park in one of the parking lots included in the map below. No shuttles this year! Yippeee!!

Race Day:
Sunday, November 3 starting at 6 AM near start line.
You can pick up your shirt or hoodie prior to the race start on race morning.

No Gear Check
No gear check this year as there will be plenty of parking near race at Hanover Crossing.
Note: All runners will receive a personal bib assignment email on Wednesday 10/30. We are expecting a great crowd so please please please know your bib assignment when you come to pick up your packet so we can keep the flow going.

Runners will receive the following:

Half Marathon Runners – Custom event Unisex hoodie (hoodie guarantee deadline: 10/10/2025)
5K Runners – Custom event short-sleeve Unisex T-shirt (t-shirt guarantee deadline: 10/10/2025)
Custom Finisher Medals for all registrants
1 FREE beer (21+ with valid ID)
Epic post-race party at Sullivan’s Castle Island – Hanover Crossing location at 1775 Washington St, Suite 410, Hanover, MA 02339.
1 professionally chip-timed bib
Free snacks post-race
Swag will be available at packet pick up (recommended) and at the finish line on race day. We recommend picking up your gear before race day to save time and relieve stress on race morning!

Awards (Marathon Sports gift cards) will be given out in the following categories:

Top 3 overall male and female winners ($100 / $75 / $50 gift cards)
Top male and female winners in the following age groups ($25 gift card):
1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

5K
Top 3 overall male and female winners ($50 / $35 / $25 gift cards)
Top male and female winners in the following age groups ($25 gift card):
1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Join us immediately after the race at Sullivan’s Castle Island (Hanover Crossing) 1775 Washington St, Suite 410, Hanover, MA 02339 for an epic post-race celebration, including 1 FREE beer for every registrant (must be 21+ with valid ID).

After you finish the race, we ask that you please stay along the perimeter road behind the mall to leave to Sullivan’s or your vehicle, to prevent blocking the flow of other runners coming into the finish. See barricade and traffic flow map below.

Right into Hanover Crossing to finish line
