It's time to celebrate the season - come in costume ready to compete for prizes!

All 5K participants get to decide which direction they want to run on the 5K course - clock-wise or counter-clockwise. All participants start together and then either veer left at the end of the gravel straight, or straight ahead on Day Island Road. Participants will be able to see each other going the opposite direction midway through the course.

If you're doing the 10K, you'll do the 5K loop twice, going in opposite directions each time - you can decide which direction you run first. Yes, there's some strategy involved, and of course fun!

The top three in each age group for the 10K and 5K will receive awards.

Age groups are: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over

The volunteers along the course will have candy to hand out in exchange for a trick! Stop by an aid station and perform a trick of any length to earn a prize.

Packets will be available on race day, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the staging area at Alton Baker Park. Please wear your bib numbers on the front.

There will be a large display board by the results tent. When you see the bib number of someone that you'd like to vote for for the best costume, write their number on the board. The top three best costumes, by vote, will receive a commemorative event garment. The costume contest winners will be announced at 11:15am.

Halloween themed refreshments will be awaiting you at the finish line.
