Our Mission & Founder |
Get Involved! Together, let's keep improving lives, one snowflake at a time. Come out April 27th at Bachman Lake Park and support Adams Sarcoidosis Awareness (ASA) as a race participant or volunteer.
Join us for our 10th Annual Sarcoidosis 5K Run/Walk at Bachman Lake Park, Saturday, April 27th at 2 PM. Help raise Sarcoidosis Awareness as a survivor, race participant, volunteer or supporter. Together, we will raise awareness about Sarcoidosis, a debilitating autoimmune disease characterized by granulomas, tiny clumps of inflammatory cells that can cause any organ in the body to not work properly, and in some cases, causes the organ to shut down. The impact is not only felt physically but also financially, emotionally and spreads into the lives of family and friends.
Founded by Ericka L Adams, Adams Sarcoidosis Awareness (ASA) is a 501c3 non- profit organization offering education and resources to individuals affected by Sarcoidosis and to any person currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for an autoimmune disease. Each year we host a 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for charity. Monies collected from our annual Adams Sarcoidosis Awareness 5K Run/Walk helps to provide access to medical office visits, prescription assistance, and gas vouchers to individuals diagnosed with Sarcoidosis.

About Us |
ABOUT US
Adams Sarcoidosis Awareness is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers temporary financial and social support to those suffering from Sarcoidosis. We pride ourselves on being a reliable resource for those suffering from the disease and their loved ones. We educate the community through healthcare fairs, church events, speaking engagements, and any community event in which we can participate and spread information on Sarcoidosis.
YOU HAVE SARCOIDOSIS
We refer to individuals diagnosed with Sarcoidosis as SNOWFLAKES. Beautiful, YES! Yet so delicate and never the same. Sarcoidosis never impacts any two people the exact same way. Access to proper treatment and ongoing care is vital for a Snowflake’s quality of life.
